What about reposition (or replacing) the tail so that it's going downwards.

Dogs (and Hounds, Hyenas etc.) only put their tail upwards when trying to impress female dogs. When they are aggressive or threatened the tail is either horizontal or downwards.

I think this will look a lot better

This thing is awesome! Really awesome. The mouth the drool-effect and the angry look ... geat work, raul. Keepon the good work!
I think Kors dissent is a good idea. May be it would look more agressive. But it is not rare to hold his tail up like this, even if they are fighting.

But maybe it would look better a bit more horizontal...

Boy! That Wolf is really progressing quickly. I'm absolutely loving the face, the detail is fantastic. The Fur too is really well sculpted, Great work and good luck with finishing the rest of the model, I will add any ideas of extra details I come up with when I do.

Good Job  !

I think that's not necessary, because it's a fantasy model and the tail follows the line of the head, giving the wolf much dynamism. I dont know if the animal behavior it's important when are sculpting minis, but that wolf don't need a new tail, i think :ok:

As someone who does actually have a fairly serious fear of dogs that snarling face is setting off my fear alarms. Fantastic job.

I thought downwards was scared? my dog only puts it's tail up when it's barking at other dogs :?

Anyway, I think the tail might look a bit better on this miniature if what slightly lower, just to make it look more streamlined more than anything.

What are the lines across the right shoulder, are they scars? the drool on its mouth and the face just look amazing, I think I like this mini more everytime I see it!! :D

I think it is perfect as is. My only comment would be if it's some form of beast in gladitorial combat it would probably have some wounds, such as possibly having one eye missing, etc. That would be the only possible change I would do, some form of wound or stitching, scar, etc., somewhere on the wolf. Other than that I can't wait to buy it. :D

Looks awesome. My only criticism is that it really needs a goblin hero on it's back :)

Cheers

Definitely. It already has three big scars on his back, but it is difficult to see on the pics.

wow i really like the turn out of the wolf, would make a kick ass pet for the Goblin King, however i do think the torso is just a milimetre or two small, not too much just a little small. then again this could be the angle of the photo, either way I can't wait to start painting that wolf in winter theme, it's just really calling me to paint him white

The wolf is indeed an awesome model. Like some said it is indeed looking rather smallish, specially when comparing the bulk of the head with the body. Nothing that detracts from the overall sculpture but i was expecting a bigger beastie. Something akin to the beast of the woods (from GW if I recall the name correctly).

Other than that it is indeed an AWESOME model as I'm growing accostumed to.
