Hey all,

Just wanted to say I'm sorry about the delays in photos, quite a bit going on here with exams and similar, but hopefully I can get moving again soon (working on the weapon).

I will post photos when the weapon is finished so I can make any needed changes and then will place it in his hands.

From there I can "fill any gaps" so to speak, so if an area is looking a little bare I can add something in to fill the space.

Thanks for being so patient!

Small update,

Work is going steadily but I've done the basic shape and design of the weapon.

I'm unsure of the bottom parts though, I think they need removing and replacing with something else.

As for the haft of the weapon I thought of making some sort of snake skin/scale covering, I can then add decorations and additional parts of the top.

I'll also add some designs to the weapon blade.

I've also given him a turtle shield arm guard, will work on getting some photos up for that too.

I've also tried to add some feathers to the braclet, I hope it helps.

Let me know what you all think.

I got some solid feedback on warseer to make some changes to the weapon end as it seemed to be too over the top and just didn't give the right feel.

Some here are the links, I think I'm going to follow the path I did with the last AOW sculpt and stick with inspiration, designs and ideas from pre- Colombian civilizations. I'll do my best to apply these styles to the weapon and replace the end parts on it.

If however you have something else in mind then please let me know. :)

The feathers are great :thumleft: nice contrast

The end of the weapon need a new design. I like the skull on the Monolith site, i think that design would fit.

Hope to see pics of the shield!

I've always been a fan of double 'bladed' great weapons. I think a quarter staff length weapon with a blade at one end and a morning star at the other would be awesome on this model.

I would love to here what you think about my suggestion!

Damn, wish I had seen this post sooner, I've literally just finished the weapon ends and was working on the hands.

I'll post photos anyway when done and hopefully it will be a reasonable substitute.

Never mind. I'm planning on using the combination as a small conversion of a Shaggoth miniature so when it's done I can post it for you to give me your opinion. It would have been nice to see a professionals version though. Thanks for the reply Chris

Sorry about the quietness, I've been far too slow and lazy with sculpting in recent months, though hopefully I've kicked that habit for good now.

I made too many mistakes with the last piece and so it cannot be cast, I do apologize to everyone who was waiting for it to be released.

I have begun work on an alternative lizardman instead for Felix and avatars of war. I've been looking at the thorny devil Lizard for inspiration and so will be adding in plenty of spikes and scales, but will change the style and look of them from previous pieces.

I will try to make this a double edge weapon with parts at both ends so it can be swung like a staff.

Sorry to hear about the last sculpt. It was a cool piece. :(

This new one still looks great though. My lizardman army needs some new cool characters. ;)

His arms seems to bee stronger and bigger than his legs! Like the face. Its a little differed from the first sculpted and less dinosaur. This would be my second Lizard-man I ever bought. ;)
