Should the 50 figure be a 54mm model?

I definitely think that whatever it is, it should be iconic, and also serve as a landmark.

On one hand, a 54mm model would be excellent fun to paint and would be great for collectors. On the other hand, 54mm models tend to have limited use for gaming, as the vast majority of models are in smaller scale, closer to 30mm.

I agree, it would be fun to paint, but it would be a shame if the 50th figure could not be fielded. So i vote 28mm! Or, and that would really be awesome, the 50th figure comes both in the 28mm and 54mm scale as a set!

Perhaps (if it were cost efficient) there could be two releases: a 28mm model (the 50 figure that is available by itself) and a limited edition 54mm variant, or a dwarven bust.

Ah! I know!

Felix should sclupt an AoW in his own likeness! (Only it would be decked out with weapons or magical gear, as suits Felix's character/personal tastes.)

Whoa!

Point taken!

What about the idea of celebrating the release of the 50 figure with a battalion set!? 40 plastic or warcast models (with or without extra weapon options) and a metal character to boot?

Very nice thread :D

Has been a long time since I last posted, but I have been supporting Felix and AoW since the start.

My suggestion for the 50. figure: A wood elf beastmaster. An elf clad in fur with an animal companion

Keep up the great work AoW :smoker:

Hey Felix! What ever happened to that AWESOME horse casting you made a few years ago? The one rearing up that you were designing when first thinking about mounted heroes. Give it some cool armor barding and and ridden by a knight hero. None of the current heroes can be used in my Bretonnian army. THAT SHOULD BE THE 50th figure!! :applause:

A mounted model would definitely be fitting.

This, right here. I've been waiting since the start of Avatars of War for a properly imposing model for my Bretonnian army. I know the hope for making an Arthurian knight was "sooner, rather than later" but I can wait until model #50 for him to introduce a properly heroic counterpart to the mounted Orc. I know I haven't forgotten.

I'm starting to think that maybe this thread is creating unnecessary pressure to try too hard.

Whatever the 50 figure is, I'm sure it'll be awesome.

I think it will be one of this two:

-Mounted figure
-Dwarf King

No question there, Dwarf King! I am looking forward to that figure, and how it will be different from mere Dwarf Lords ;) If you cannot decide in the end, just make it a mounted Dwarf King! :)

** edit **
Just saw the mounted Dwarf King in the indiegogo list. Never mind then ;)
