During the indiegogo campaign Felix said that Dwarf Season will start in July with releases starting in August.

Has there been any progress made in getting the first regiments ready for production, or any news on what regiment we can expect this month?

Are these the basic unit of dwarves or are these the veteran Iron guard units?

Warthrone dwarf army consists of clans troops and professional troops.

The warriors that bring the different clans fight together in regiments. Within a regiment several Warriors from several clans fight together. Each of these regiments warrior is carrying the shield of his clan, with its clan crest engraved on the shield,to make it visible from which clan comes each warrior. Because of this, commonly, the clan warriors are called Shields. For example, if a clan brings 12 warriors, dwarves say that that clan brings 12 shields.
Also, the banner of the regiment will display a small shield of each of the different clans that fight in the regiment.

Among the regiments formed by clan warriors we find the Bronzeshields (clan rookies) and the Ironshields (clan veterans).

So these are regular troops, better than the Bronzeshields, or the Crossbowmen though.

In contrast there are the royal troops, professional soldiers, such as the Iron Guard, Thunder Warriors or the Doomcrushers.

I'm a bit disturbed by the iron shields. They've got no armour on their arms and the shields look a bit too small and unimpressive for my liking. Apart from that they're lovely models 'though.

oh, i think that points are ok. There is no armor their arms, cause 1) it looks better 8) 2) the ironshields are not the heaviest fighters, that would be the iron guard and the doomchrushers, and they need to wear a full body armour.

if you make the shields bigger, the Dwarfs won't fit into the rank...

i like the idea of the banner very much!

hope to see more Pics soon!!!

Exactly! :thumright:
Also, in warthrone rules, you distinguish between medium and big shield, and these have only access to medium shields. Iron guard has the option for big shields, so the big shields are kept for them and when looking at the figs it has to be obvious which are big shields and which are not.

Reagrding ranking, we are really making sure that the units which can form from the warthrone rules in closed formations (like a square formation, as opposed to a horde formation) are easily ranked in closed formation, as we have received a lot of feedback of how difficult it is ranking up the Apoc warriors! :damaged:
