PS: Maybe we should transfer the thread to an own WIP-thread of the witch-unter, because from the actual theme we are really off-topic

This is a good idea.

I think the alternative weapon should be, if anything, a torch! Ideally a really cool torch, maybe made out of a witchskull or something.!

Cool idea for the optic.
Plus it gives the miniature more character
He wants to show everybody with that trophy, what a tough guy he is.

i love this type of characters
i played many year one of them in WHRPG cause i loved the dark side of those guys (mine was called ... Aubec le noir of course  ;) )
by the way ... a pose like the famous photo of Josey Wells (Clint eastwood) could be interesting too...
or some big cigar (i don't like to be politically correct :smoker: )
just my 2 cents
Aubec :pirat:

think it would be nice if the coat was a bit more flagging in the wind, and if he was holding a burning torch in one hand (which is very witch-huntery i think) - as an example the picture on the novel witch hunter from the black library

Just wanted to say that I am really looking forward to this model, which will be my first purchase from AoW. I am also planning on buying the Warrior Priest and one or two Dwarves. I showed some friend of mine this site and they are keen to purchase too in order to save on shipping (we are down in New Zealand).

Very excited to see the finished product! Keep up the very fine work, I am sure I will be visiting your website regularly :)

He NEEDS a goatee, and an evil moustache.

The thing is, he´s butch and jockish, a witch hunter shouldn´t be, he should be mean, sinister and evil. This guy has the face of a space marine captain, albeit very well sculpted, it doesn´t fit.

Also, I know you can do a smoother job on the robe.

I have to disagree with you here almost completely. Simply because the man hunts witches doesn't make him sinister or evil, hell it doesn't even necessarily make him mean. What it does make him is shrewd, cunning, and rugged, which I think the face delivers just fine. I don't know why you would even think that he would be evil, his whole concept is to hunt down and eradicate evil wherever he finds it. To root out corruption and taint from the world of men. In many ways he is like a paladin in that regard, save his weapons are wit and guile, as opposed to sword and shield. No sir, I have to disagree with you quite thoroughly.

I had to make an account to give you my thoughts on this miniature, so here goes:
Love teh stance, the witch hunter deals with the most dark and twisted abominations of mankind, and this stance shows that nothing scares him, as far as additional weapons go, how about we see a wanted poster? so he can be used as a bounty hunter too? liek hes carrying the poster to show people or somthing? just my two cents as it were, also loving all the minis so far, i've just ordered my first one, keep up the good work! :D

Hi Aruvaal Blackdove, thanks for the feedback and cokmments and welcome to the forum! :welc:

He's carrying a parchment in his back, that painted as a Wanted poster could look just great.

The figure is finihsed by now, but now that you've signed up you can propose more ideas for future wips! :thumright:

As the mini is finished I proceed to close the thread.

Thanks so much for all the feedback and suggestions! :thumright: :thumright:
