Here is the model I am working on these days, a Daemon Champion.

WIP1:

There are still some days left for it to be finished, so please, let us know your suggestions and feedback.

Thanks so much for your input as always! :thumright:

Wow. That dude looks mean, like he should.
The mini itself is in a great position and all the proper bits look great. The only thing i would suggest would be and optional weapon, perhaps an axe since hes screaming bloodletter, and id like to see a shoulder pad on him. Most of the minis in your line have got shoulder pads, which makes sense because they are gladiators. It might look really cool to put a whole armored manica on his left arm since it wont have a weapon.
Other than those meager suggestions this mini is looking great.

As i took another look at the mini it looks like the armor is not near completion so there is plaenty of room for the suggestions. The chestplate would look great with some kind of demonic face and the leg armor would look cool with proper spikey ridges.
Once again great mini.

Yeah its not a Dwarf. :king:

Looks great. Like the pose. The hand/claw is very nice.
What I don't like so,is the tongue.
Beautiful sword-shape.

Very nice, a worthy opponent for any arena-fighter.
I am looking forward for any details which will be added to this mini. The mini right now looks already impressive, cant imagine how it looks at the end...
One thing I am not quite sure about is the pose of the demon. Wouldn´t it be more dynamic, if one feet/hoof would make a step for-or backward, so the demon looks like charging or expecting a charge?

The left hand looks not finished.
It should frighten... but looks plush.

But great work!

First off, Bloodletters use swords Bro, they always have since the old Realms of Chaos days way back when! So if its a Bloodletter your looking for, a sword it should be, now a Bloodthirster! there is a beast with an axe, although this diminutive fellow hardly has the mass to fill those sizable hooves.

I like him, I have to say I am slightly disappointed it is slightly Khornate as everyone and their dog seems to love Khorne and everything Khroney. My first impressions were that it reminded me of a yolked up bloodletter, then it reminded me of a mini-version of one of the daemon princes I've seen around. All in all it is an impressive model to be sure and there isn't much I can add save some skulls or decapitated bits to throw on him, maybe a large rack of skulls mounted on his back? Or a severed head in his open claw? You could also try to texture his flesh to make him seem more sinewy, like raw muscle without skin for that terror factor!

Thats all I have right now,

Wow.

Would there be any chance of including an axe as an alternative weapon?

I like it a lot thus far. The sword is great but I agree a axe option would be a good alternative. Very nice so far, please don't cover it with loads of skulls though. 8)

I like it a lot! This is what a daemon has to look like.
Concerning the weapon, sure, swords and axes are both great. I have yet another idea, what about a kind of flail? I am thinking of a bundle of 3-5 chains which he holds in his fist, and at the top of the chains are severed heads, ideally from different races. Would look great and be a very mean weapon, something a daemon would use I think.

I think the feet need to point a little bit more outwards compared to how they are now, just to reinforce the slightly more open pose of his torso. Now he looks just a bit too unbalanced and if he were to be charged while in that pose he would likely be knocked over very easily. In addition he wouldn't be at his best when it comes to manouverability, so turning the lower part of the legs just a few degrees outwards would be a good idea.

Furthermore I'd like to see a head and weapon variation that fits another theme; a plague demon head along with a nasty flail or perhaps a head with a long, sleek neck and face (like GW's steeds of Slaanesh) combined with a more elegant weapon.

I really like the pose looks like he's screaming out a challenge to some meer mortal. But do love the idea of a flail a much under used weapon in models
