I really like his head, but the rest of the body looks odd.

Not really natural in some kinda way. I think it needs a surgery, which really is not what you want to do in this stage...

Nothing wrong with the details, but the pose and the anatomy doesn't look cool.

Thanks for the feedback!

I totally agree with the fact that his proportions look somehow out of place for a wolf. This is the intention behind the concept, because it is not a normal wolf, it is a dire wolf, a race of big monstrous and very cruel and evil wolves (not neutral, like an animal is).
Thus its big size, big head, jaws and claws compared to the body, they are vicious killing machines!!! That is why they are used on the arena, a normal wolf would be just crushed by an Avatar of War, but a Dire wolf might be a bit of a challenge even for an Avatar of War.

Nice tees.
But I don't like the Body. It is to small for this big Head. Therefore it looks like a Comic action figure.

I can't say I like it as much as the characters Avatars of War provides - but to be honest it'd be a complete shock if I did! I like the pose of the miniature; aggressive without being nothing more than a giant gaping maw. I'll definitely get one when it's out and I think it'd be very satisfying to paint as well. Great job on the miniature - a fine model without threatening to take the attention away from the Avatars!

I think this model is really great sculpt and if it really bothers people they vould always adjust it themselves as fur is one of the easiest things to sculpt

I'll need one for my Goblins^^
He looks really great!
The only thing missing is a base with pieces of elvish bones... much more would not be found after an attack of this beast!

What about adding some drool around it's mouth? And maybe some hanging chains too. Totally love the pose :D

i think its dam near perect its a fantasy mini not a real mini it needs to be more pronounced, most fantasy mini are out of proportion the heads are bigger than the bodys or not to scale as such :sage:

Thanks so much again for the feedback.

Looks like opinions are divided. :? I am pretty sure when you read the background of the ADM Dire wolves on the rulebook, his anatomy it will then become more reasoned.

He already has drool on the mouth, but it is difficult to see on the picture. Also he'll have a broken chain hanging from on of his left front leg.

I have to complain :P. In my opinion the wolf don't looks as beastly as I expected, to my mind its a kinda hound truly hungry u.U. Despite of the fact my thoughts are this, the model is fantastic but I think it should be more frightening and big.
