The Hordes of Apocalypse season continues at Avatars of War!

After the release of the Warriors of Apoc regiment sets, it is time for heroes now. First of them is a Lord of Apocalypse on foot!

Hope you like it!
More apocalyptic heroes and troops during this season!

Great, i like it! It fits to the apoc-warriors and i think it would also fit to a Vamipre-Army.

Felix wrote "Lord on foot", is this an insinuation to a mounted model?

Most likely, I guess.

While not a bad figure at all, it just seems kind of plain to me. The axe is too simple, its in a pose we know all too well from this line, and it comes off as more of a vampire than a chaos warrior. Also lacks detail in comparison to the previous Chaos Lord which was awesome. Sorry, but this is a pass for me...

I like this model very much, even if it uses the "classic AoW" pose :)

Looks like my shopping list gets bigger and bigger

I must say, I am not fond of this one...
Do he has hairs, or chainmail on hit head? the Axe lacks of details, the rigth leg seems longer... I like the pose, tough. The face is the part i like the most.
With a shield and some custom runes on the axe, it would be yummy !

I like him. :welc: The head has mail on it. I'll probably pick one up and put hair on mine.

Gaelion, how do you sculpt your weapons like axes and maces, ie the haft and the blades. Your blades appear to be plastic or milliput white. On the haft, is that a metal tube under a thin layer of GS, obviously the handle has the GS wrap, but what about between the handle and axe head, and how do you attached the axe head to the haft of the axe. I do a bit of hobby sculpting, and I always wonder how the different pros do some of the stuff they do.

I always sculpt the weapon blades with White (superfine, best for sanding) milliput. For the hafts I normally use plasticard tubes (we have of many different sizes). If i don't find the required size, I then roll a tube of greenstuff around a straight wire and let it dry (you have to do it when gs is quite cured, otherwise it will get deformed while it cures).
To attach the blade to the haft I pin it with wire (not stricly necessary but good if you want the weapon to survive the moulding process without breaking).
