I received my Dwarf Thunderlord hero today. Shipped on May 30th received June 5th. Great figure.

Now perhaps a dwarf warror queen in battle armor with hammer and shield. Hmmmm. One can only hope.

Awesome! Mine was in the mail today.

I couldn't Help noticing, but do I see a little "F" sculpted in his crown?

Yes, it is a very iconic dwarven rune, to show that the crown is stolen from a fallen dwarf king, the axe also belonged to the same king, that is why the axe has also the "F" rune.

Hip hip hoorray

Miniatures arrived today, finally.

They do all look great, though I have to agree with several of my miniature-gaming mates who say that the castings could be better.

After all they said I expected the casts to be worse but I still have to say that, compared to your very very crisp and clean modelled greens, the castings lose detail and much of the details did not come out very crisp and clean.

That really is a shame because your miniatures are so great because of the fantastic details that can be seen on the greens.

Once again I can only recommend to have the miniatures produced by Mr. Niehues.

I will send you a PM detailing the reasons.

Furthermore another point of criticism would be the size of the thunderlord.

I think he really is a little bit to huge for a dwarf, even compared to the newer GW-Stuff, like the dwarf lords you did for GW.

Apart from that I am happy with the miniatures and very glad that they finally arrived here.

Greetings,

wulfen777

Mine arrived yesterday, I've even started to paint my goblin king already. Thunderlord is umdercoated and ready to go, in general great models (especially the goblin) but there is some loss of detail on the Thunderlord's axe head. Nothing major, just thought you'd want to know.

Thanks again Felix.

Hi Wulfen777,

Regarding the quality of our castings, I completely disagree with you.

I have been collecting miniatures for almost 25 years now and sculpting for the most important manufacturers, and under that experience I think that our castings are without doubt up there with the best I have seen.

Detail is captured perfectly from the green -and I quite know which detail does the green have

Finally thanks for your continued insistence on us moving casting production with Mr. Nieheus, however we are setting up our own casting premises, so we wil not need to cast the models externally. :)

Finally my Thunderlord is here! My Dwarfs have been anxiously awaiting their new Engineer and here he is. Unfortunatly the length of time it took to get him caused my wife to ignore my request for the other 5 AoW minis I don't have for my birthday that just passed. (The Thunderlord was supposed to be a Valentines Day gift.) I'm not too worried because when the new GW Dark Elves come out I'm going to need Felix's Sorcerres to join his Dark Elf Lord and I'll just whine like a petulant child until I get my way! :P

I am glad it's finally there!

Again sorry for the long time waiting! Pre-orders are finally gone now (as all pending pre-orders were finally shipped), so it won't happen anymore such long delivery time!

Everyhting will work much better when we are set up with in-house casting as well. This movement was a must since some time ago, but it is not an easy decision to take, as it is a lot of investment for a small company as AoW!

Once more I thank you all for your patience!
