You do know that the Celtos ones have also been made by Kev form Hasslefree? that's why you probably like the curvyness on both of them ;)

Would you mind if I started a dwarven watchtower thread? It'd basicaly be a list of all the goals achieved in the kickstarter campaign that would get updated as stuff got released. Obviously it would be a long wait as the dwarfs marched up to the production line (at three inches a turn :p) but when things do start rolling in I imagine the wait would feel worth it and I could have fun writing the dwarven reports back about reinforcements finaly arriving too :).

Sure!

apoc female dwarves units?

i don't know man, even if i agree sexy and curvy is generally the way to go, i just can't really accept the thought of non-canon female dwars, let alone chaotic ones;

i mean,i agree some nice female dwarf model would be interesting but they should never be sexy,it would be demeaning to the dwarfish feeling of pride and honor if they weren't as strict about their looks as the men are,which means a dwarf woman should never wear something skimpy or revealing as an elf or glamorous in a human standard point and valkirye most of all they are maidens of valor,completely dedicated to war even more than men,they would never dishonor themselves by revealing their bodies like those wonderful celtos minis...besides,they are dwarfs still so their bodies are not supposed to be much different from their men (except i agree they should'nt have beards like in some certain fantasy literature).

...on the other hand i suppose i could come to accept some sexy dwarf lady but never and i repeat NEVER apoc ones.its something the world is simply not ready for,nor it will ever be and even just fantasizing about it is a kind of heresy.like female orcs.EEEEEEEWWWWW!

I don't like one of those. I am even against a female standard bearer in general. Valkyries, sure, but I do not see a female dwarf carry the hold's / King's battle standard...

well,i suppose we are gettin OT and that we should continue this discussion here;

besides i meant to congratulate with AoW for the great success of their first campaign, despite all the difficulties and necessary improvements i still think you did an amazing job and am impatient to behold the final result, sure that it will meet everybody expectations.

personally i was unable to pledge at this time but you can be sure i will be on the front-line if a greenskin or chaos-dwarf fundraiser campaign ever happens.

one last thing i meant to ask during the campaign already but i had no chance due to my account not being properly activated as i used to be just a lurker till then is if with a pledge we are able to choose minis from different regiments in smaller (or larger) qualities that those normally contained in a box or if we are forced to get set amounts.

for example: 45$ eu pledge can be traded for 5 doom crushers 5 iron guards 5 dwarf warriors 1 dwarf king on war bear = 20 minis or must be traded necessarly for 20 doom crushers, or 10 scouts + 10 thunder warriors?

i only ask cause i'm interested in collecting minis from differeny regiments but due to lack of room i must limit myself in the quantity so this kind of event becomes a good chance for me to get samples of different mini ranges over full units which i don't need so much as at the moment i cant play.

wishing felix and his staff the best of luck and keep rocking...and release more chaos dwarfs soon,please!

I'm having a similar problem, but I've resigned myself to flooding the basement with miniatures.

Although, there's something about your example that I'd like to bring up. Considering the mounted Orc Warlord counts as 10 minis, I assumed the Dwarf King on War Bear would count as 10 as well. What does he count as, exactly? (I was planning on getting him, and 5 treasure hunters, along with an assortment of other dwarves and existing heroes. But I looked one day and noticed that the count of treasure hunters per box went up to 10!)

Yes , all regiments except for some creatures will be at least 10 minis strong. That is because while playtesting them in Warthrone we saw 5 Dwarf strong regiments do last less than a holiday, they get killed or flee very easily.

However, as it was first listed as 5 we will gladly serve 5 of those that have gone up to 10 box. for the rest of the range full boxes should be selected.

Regarding the mounted heroes, yes, all of them will count as 10 minis.

Thanks so much fort he congrats Rykarth!

I was super excited by this campaign, and I can't wait for the models!

Are we going to get updates and pictures as the models are being created? Sketches, pictures of greens...

I've been a long time dwarf collector, and I really love some of the stuff that's already been created for them, keep up the great work!

p.s is there a tentative release schedule of when / what order they're going to made in? I've got 150 dwarves that I've gotta make room for on my desk... and a standard bearer!

Maybe it would be a good idea to release some kind of price list, for lack of a better word. Where you just state which miniatures / troops etc can be picked as a perk and how many models they will "cost". Otherwise you will undoubtedly end up with tons of emails asking exactly that. This way there will be one definite list you can just point to, and in case of questions they can be centrally answered here in the forum.

It's been a long time since I could spare a few minutes on my minis or come here and speak my mind on the forum. I'm from Portugal and these are hard times (work longer with worse pay).

When I learned about the campaign I was really happy for AoW but sort of bummed because I couldn't commit with anything. I watched the campaign closely though, cheering as I saw it grow successful.

Just wanted to congratulate the AoW team and thank everyone who made it possible.

When I can, I'll be contributing with purchases (hoping that when the minis come out I'll be able to), especially with mounted bears. Bring 'em on!

PS: I'm still finding time to paint the wonderful AoW dwarves I bought about half a year ago.

This is why you need to figure out a way to take the next campaign to Kickstarter.

Congratulations on their success, but the sculpting isn't really at the same quality as yours, and yet they're easily passing your IndieGoGo campaign. Also worth noting, they are doing real updates with more concept art and feedback.

2 questions:

1) about selecting the figures from the campaign : is it right, that you contact us by mail when all miniatures are sculpted?

2) is it possible, that you sculpt the standard bearer first and send it befor the other minis? i can't wait a year for my 7 standard bearers :lol:

Yes, we'll probably make in two batches, to not making you wait until everything is sculpted. Half the regiments on each btach. it depends on how long it takes, but right noew the sculpts are advancing really well I would say :thumright:
